The fifth preparation exercise is called “Connecting Sky and Earth.” In this exercise we learn to be in harmony with the outside world. We start to acknowledge ourselves being part of a larger Universe, and we feel connected to It.
This exercise helps us to clean and work through the whole body – bones, muscles, tendons, and inner organs. Energy begins to flow freely inside the channels and the body, balancing upper and lower parts of the body. Also, long practice of this exercise allows you to accumulate powerful energy.

1: Your feet should be shoulder-width.
2: Feel the ball in your lower Dantian.
3: Enlarge the ball, let it become larger and larger, till it wraps your belly.
4: Move the ball up and absorb Yang energy of the Universe.
5: Inhale. Move the ball slowly down, through the whole body, legs and feet, into the Earth. Exhale.
6: Slowly inhale. Absorb Yin energy of the Earth and move the ball up.
7: Do this 8 times.
8: After taking the earth energy for the 8th time, move the ball up and concentrate the ball in your lower Dantian.
