Bigu Shiqi is an important Third Level exercise. Literally the name can be translated as “Avoid grain, eat Qi.” Getting nutrition and oxygen through the navel is a natural ability of the body. We all did it before we were born. This practice allows us to restore our innate ability. When the navel really begins to work, the feeling of hunger can disappear completely.
We develop navel area in order to take energy directly from the environment and stay without material food. In this practice also the respiratory function of the navel is activated. As a result, the skin becomes fresher and rejuvenated, and the person appears younger. Therefore, the restoration of navel functions is a return to health and youth.

1: Relax your body. Open your navel.
2: Imagine a balloon that opens like a flower and closes behind your back.
3: Inhale and exhale through your navel.
4: Keep doing this for 30 minutes.
5: Now let the ball return back into your navel.
6: The navel returns to the original state.
7: Put your hands on the navel and concentrate the energy in the lower Dantian.
